How can I edit an existing Touch?

If you need to edit a Touch for whatever reason, you're able to do so from your Touches tab on the platform. For a detailed step-by-step for updating Touches, click here.

Simply click the three dots to the right of the row of the Touch you'd like to edit.


You'll then be taken through the Touch creation flow, similar to the one you completed when you first created the Touch. Don't forget to click Finish at the end!

Please keep in mind that you will not be able to change the Touch type. For example, you cannot change a Single Item Touch to a BYO Box Touch. If you try to change the Touch-type, you'll receive this error message:


We recommend creating a brand new Touch if you need to change the type!

Editing a Touch

Here's a step-by-step below: 

Step One: Select the touch that you want to revise and click "Edit"


Step Two: Click Next at the bottom of the following page. Again, please note that you cannot edit the Touch-type. 

Step Three: Continue the touch setup process as usual and follow the setup all the way through and update any fields that you need to along the way. You can update Send Details, Touch Details, Tracking, and the groups/teams the Touch is assigned to.


The most important thing to update here is the template (If applicable). Make sure to update your messaging to reflect the new gift option.



Last step: Complete the touch setup to update the trigger. Now all new triggers for this touch will send your newly selected gift option!
